DMZ early access for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 begins on October 20, 2026, giving eligible players three days to settle into the mode before the full release on October 23. That extra time could make a real difference. DMZ throws you into Hajin with limited supplies, uncertain threats, and a decision to make every time you find something useful: keep searching or get out safely. Players who want to learn the basics without feeling rushed may also spend time in CoD MW4 Bot Lobbies before taking on tougher deployments. The campaign has its own early access period from October 16, so check which part of the game you want to play first. Digital preorders of the Standard Digital Edition or Vault Edition are expected to qualify, although platform timing may differ by region.

Getting Comfortable in Hajin

Hajin is built to make every trip feel a little uncertain. You might start with a simple mission, find better gear halfway through, and then notice enemy activity near the route you planned to use. That is where the mode becomes interesting. The map rewards curiosity, but it also punishes careless movement. Take a few minutes to learn the shape of each area, including roads, buildings, open ground, and likely extraction points. You do not need to understand everything in your first session. Pick one section and pay attention to how enemies move around it. Solo players will need to watch their own position closely, while squads can split tasks between scouting, collecting resources, and covering the way out.

Making the FOB Work for You

The Forward Operating Base gives your progress a sense of direction. It is where you can review missions, adjust equipment, customize Operators, and prepare items for the next trip. The FOB should become part of your normal routine rather than a place you visit only after a successful run. Look over your objectives before deploying, then decide what deserves your attention during the match. The 3D Printer can help connect crafting needs with the materials you find in Hajin, which is useful when your storage starts filling with random items. Players who enjoy planning may also want to keep an eye on CoD MW4 Redeem Codes while organising their early progression, especially when preparing for a longer session. A clear plan makes the return trip feel more worthwhile.

Small Decisions Matter

New players often lose a good run by trying to do too much at once. It is tempting to chase another objective when your backpack is already full, or to search one more building after reaching a safe route. Sometimes that extra stop pays off. Often, it only creates another problem. Give each deployment a simple purpose, such as collecting a certain material, completing one mission, or learning a new part of the map. When you have achieved it, decide whether the next step is worth the risk. If you are playing with friends, talk before entering a busy area. A quick plan about who carries key items and where everyone will regroup can prevent a messy escape.

What to Do Before Early Access

Use the first day to learn the rhythm of DMZ instead of chasing every reward. Test different loadouts, notice which equipment you rely on, and remember the routes that lead toward extraction. Your early runs may end quickly, and that is part of the learning curve. Each attempt should leave you with a better idea of what to carry, where to move, and when to leave. By October 20, players who prepare calmly will have a useful head start when the full Modern Warfare 4 launch arrives on October 23. Hajin will still be dangerous, but the pressure feels easier to manage once you know what you are looking for and why you entered the zone.
